Questions to ask your child in response to the read-aloud:
- What did Big Bear and Little Bear use to light their cave?
- What do you use to light the place you live?
- Why did Big Bear and Little Bear go home when it got dark outside?
Learn at Home activity for today:
Tuesday:
- Breathe. Place a light object (e.g. cotton ball, feather, piece of paper, round pencil, small ball, etc.) on one end of a table and see if you and your child can blow it to the other side. Repeat with other objects of differing weights.
Questions to ask your child:
- What did you observe here/when ____?
- What did your sense of ____ tell you about ____?
- What will you try next?
- I wonder what would happen if ____?
- How do you know?
- How could we find out?

One of the parents suggested to set up a free Zoom account and have one family member or friend teach their child something new each day via a Zoom call!
