Reminders / Notices:
- Please remember to send sleeping mats to school.
- School/Church doors close at 8:15 AM
- No admittance after 8:15 AM
- Late drop-offs will no longer be permitted to enter the building.
- All students will be temperature tested upon arrival to school.
- No adults are permitted in the building past the table at the main door.
- Dismissal times remain as 3:00 PM for all PreK classes.
- There are no early pickup/appointments etc. -- if there is an appointment the child should remain home.
- All parents etc. coming near the building are required to have a mask on their face for the safety of all students and staff.
- A reminder that all students in PreK and Kindergarten are required under New York State Law to have the flu vaccine before returning to school.

- Dismissal is at 12:00 noon on Friday, February 11th . We will open doors at 11:45 a.m. NO AFTER SCHOOL
- Parent-Teacher Conferences are on Friday, February 11th from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. via ZOOM. Please check for a time slot. The last appointment is at 5:45 p.m.
- Monday, February 14th -Valentine’s Day !!
- Wednesday, February 18th PreK For All Program Closed for Professional Development Day.

Focused Learning Activity for the Week:
SMALL GROUP
The teacher will work with students in the art area. The students will be provided with an assortment of shape cut-outs, small vehicles and pictures of vehicles. The teacher will invite students to reference the vehicles and/or pictures to create their own vehicles. Before children begin working, they will be encouraged to look critically at the vehicles provided and to think about what shapes they will need in order to make their own.
DIFFERENTIATED INSTRUCTION
For all children to be successful, multiple entry points will be considered. The teacher will tailor instruction to the needs of each individual student.
For example,
• Repeat directions
• Extend time
• Preview questions (if applicable)
• Provide 1:1 support
• Adapt materials (e.g.,magna-tiles, bristle blocks, duplex, unit blocks)

Little Green, Red and Yellow made a traffic light. What are some other traffic signals or signs you see outside?
What do traffic lights do?
Why is it important to follow traffic lights and signals?
- Level 4: Extended Thinking
Little Green and Little Red were opposites. Name some other things that are opposites.
Little Green, Little Yellow, and Little Red had to work together to help the construction vehicles. What are some things you can do with other children to help keep the classroom happy and safe?
Lessons and activities for the week:
Blocks- Students are invited to create a variety of ramps and use different vehicles to race, predicting which one will go down the fastest and why.
Pretend Play- Pretend Play will be transformed into a train station. Students are invited to create a train using large pieces of cardboard.
Art- An assortment of shape cutouts and pictures of vehicles will be added to the center. Students will be invited to reference the vehicles to create their own vehicles.
Science- Teacher will model how to draw a simple map with roads. Students will be provided with metal cars and magnetic wands. Students will be encouraged to make their car move down the road by using the magnet wands.
Math- Students will be invited to match numbered cars to the corresponding amount of people each car holds.
Library- Students are invited to sequence the pictures and retell a familiar story, using a felt board.
Writing- Students will be invited to match lettered cars to their corresponding spots in a "parking lot".
Sensory-Students will be able to play with their own individual containers of play-doh.
